When Congress enacted the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA, P.L. 104-191) establishing minimal standards for managed care and other insurance plans, it included provisions concerning standards for the privacy and protection of individually identifiable health information.

Because the questions and results of the TRALE Health Risk Assessment systems contain confidential medical information, it is important to understand the security issues involved. All of your data will be stored in the most secure manner that technology allows. None of your data will be released to anyone without your prior approval.

TRALE will use the data in a large statistical database for aggregate reporting back to the employer. This data will not contain any information specific to identifying anyone as an individual. This data will allow the employer to continually improve overall employee population health through individual assessments and disease specific intervention.

TRALE has partnered with a 3rd party vender that continually monitors HIPAA / HITECH compliance.
